First Day of Big Poppie's Micro Aquarium

The water Big Poppie chose for his Micro Aquarium was from the Spring Creek off Woodson Dr running thought Dean's Woods Road frontage., Knox Co. Tennessee. Partial shade exposure. Tennessee River water Shed N35 55.274 W083 56.888 848 ft 10/9/2011 Fissidens fountains moss in stream (McFarland, 2012).

How I set up my micro aquarium was first I took off the bottom stand and the the top that seals the water in. After choosing my water source, from Spring Creek, I took the eye dropper, drew up some water from the bottom where the sediment was, and put it in the aquarium. Next I finished filling up the aquarium with water from the middle and then from the top of the container containing my water source. Last I pinched off some moss, Amblestegium sp., and  a flowering carnivorous plant,Utricularia gibba, ant put it in the aquarium, put on three round stickers with the letters FDE to identify it, and then placed the base and top back on the aquarium (McFarland, 2012).

The first day was cool in Micro Aquarium world. After setting it up and looking at all the little things swimming around in there, one should think twice about opening their mouth under water! About the only thing I could see was a mosquito larva. I also added a moss, Amblestegium sp., and  a flowering carnivorous plant,Utricularia gibba L.(McFarland, 2012).
